Amazon PPC automation with your AI tool and your approval
Agentic Sellar gives Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients the Amazon Ads data and tools to run PPC routines: performance reviews, search-term mining, bid and budget changes. Your AI tool does the analysis and proposes changes; every write needs a write scope and an explicit confirmation before it reaches Amazon Ads.
Three ways to automate Amazon PPC
Most PPC automation falls into one of three models. They differ in who makes the decision and how much you see before a change goes live.
| Model | Who decides | Strengths | Trade-offs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rule-based automation | Fixed rules you write, such as “lower bids 10% when ACoS is above target”. | Predictable and easy to audit. | Rules don’t read context, and they drift as products, seasons and prices change. |
| Autonomous bidding software | The vendor’s algorithm, usually toward a target ACoS or ROAS. | Runs continuously at keyword scale. | Reasoning is hard to inspect, and changes reach your account without review. |
| AI agent with approval | Your AI tool proposes changes with reasons; you approve the ones you want. | Flexible, explains itself, and adapts to instructions in plain language. | Slower than unattended bidding, and only as good as the data and instructions it gets. |
Agentic Sellar supports the third model. It does not bid on its own; it gives your AI tool reliable data and controlled write access.
A weekly PPC routine
Pull performance
Request a Sponsored Products campaign report for the period, or on a Data plan read retained campaign history with its coverage dates.
Mine search terms
Request a search-term report and sort terms into winners to add as keywords, wasted spend to negate, and terms that need more data.
Set the target
Compare ACoS with each product’s break-even ACoS so bid decisions follow margin rather than a single account-wide target.
Propose changes
Have your AI tool list bid, budget, negative-keyword and campaign-state changes with the numbers behind each one.
Approve and apply
Approve the changes you agree with. Each write needs a write scope and an explicit confirmation before Agentic Sellar calls Amazon Ads.
Check the record
Every accepted call leaves a receipt with the operation, account, status and time, so next week’s review starts from what actually changed.
Start the routine with one prompt:
Review my US Sponsored Products account for the last 14 days.
1. Rank campaigns by spend and show ACoS for each.
2. From the search-term report, list terms with 15+ clicks and no orders, and terms with 2+ orders that aren't keywords yet.
3. For keywords with ACoS above 35%, propose a lower bid and show the math.
Don't change anything until I approve the list.Data the workflow uses

Safeguards
- Write tools require a write scope granted by a workspace owner.
- Every write call needs an explicit confirmation argument.
- Write tools are labelled as destructive MCP actions, so clients such as Claude and ChatGPT can ask you before each one runs.
- Campaign archiving is excluded from the curated campaign tools because Amazon cannot undo it.
- A workspace is limited to 120 tool calls a minute across its AI connections, and each connection lasts at most 30 days before it must be approved again.
What to expect
Results depend on your products, margins, competition and the instructions you give. Agentic Sellar does not promise a lower ACoS. It makes the analysis faster to run, shows the evidence for each proposed change, and keeps a record of what was applied. The curated write tools cover Sponsored Products keyword bids, daily budgets and campaign state; other changes, such as negative keywords or Sponsored Brands edits, go through the general Amazon Ads write tool with the same scope and confirmation rules.
